Abundance

Abundance
Oil on Stretched Canvas
16x20

The month of November is the month on abundance.  It's the time of year when we celebrate Thanksgiving and think about all we have to be grateful for in our lives.  I love the simplicity of this holiday.  It's time to gather with family and friends and enjoy each other in the spirit of peace.

We miss those who are no longer with us, but choose to reminisce about the good times.  And it seems every year there is someone new who comes to the table, be it new friends of my children or just someone who is far from home and has nowhere to go.

When we think about what we have to be grateful for, we're rich beyond measure.

Great thoughts. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday for just those reasons. Be grateful, be w/ family, be w/ friends.

Gorgeous painting! I think I'm partial to the ones with a bit of blue in them like this. Just lovely!
The past few Thanksgivings we've had a few new faces, too...mainly a few who didn't have a place to go to. This year my oldest is going to his girlfriends..wow..that's a first for us. :)

A really lovely painting that evokes a "warm" emotion--! I like what you've written about the new people and the people we remember too

Just when I think your paintings couldn't produce more "glow", I visit and see your new works and current achievements. Janelle, your kind-hearted motivation shines through. I'm sure that's what the collectors and judges alike are drawn to. "Beloved" & "The Magic Hour" are two of my favs. Congrats. And enjoy the season!

Janelle what a beautiful painting and thoughtful post. Tugs at my heart as I lost my Dad this year, but am so thankful for his presence in my life and his wonderful influence on others.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving.
