Last month I attended an art opening at Marion Street Gallery where Susan Hong-Sammons was displaying her art. Susan has been a blogger friend of mine for quite a while. I've always admired the fact that she and Karen Phipps brave the elements and paint plein air in all kinds of weather, including our freezing cold Chicago winters.
Susan's paintings are stunningly beautiful in person and they give off a kind of energy in the room. I was encouraged to join this charming gallery with my own work and this month (last Friday) I put up six of my own paintings. Thank you, Susan!
If you're in the Chicago area, please stop by the Marion Street Gallery. The next artist's opening will be December 10th and should be quite the holiday gala!

Hey, I love the street name! LOL! The gallery looks warm and inviting. Even with those thoughtless people blocking your paintings, they still shine luminously on the wall. I wish I could visit the Windy City just to visit the gallery. Blessings!!
I am so very glad you're a part of Marion Street Gallery and that we've met in-person. The gallery openings have been a huge success. We're fortunate that the owners love art, the artists they represent, and work hard to represent us.
Happy Painting My Friend!
Looks so beautiful, Janelle. I'm planning on getting back to Chicago in the new year so I'll plan on going down there.
Your paintings look lovely framed up Janelle, I think the dark frames and the gold ones really suit your paintings. I wish I could see them for real.
Susan's paintings really are full of sunshine and look very nice against the pine wood wall. I hope you both sell well. Best of luck.
Ahh! It's great to see you two at the gallery with your exquisite work!!
i'm a little far away to visit so....wishing you all the best at this new gallery Janelle;)
What a wonderful looking gallery! And well done to be part of it!
Janelle, You, your paintings, Susan and Susan's paintings all look GREAT!!!! Looks like a lovely gallery too. Good luck with it all.
How delightful. It's always so interesting to find out when two (or ten) artists you've admired online forever know each other in the real world... As a fan of both your's and Susan's, I love seeing these pictures! Your work looks amazing on the wall, congrats on finding a great gallery.
Have a blessed week end!
I posted something today. Good to be back but not sure i can post as often as i would before due to work.
But it's good to be blog walking when i can again..
Hugs,
Silver
